چکیده

The TOTEM (TOTal cross section, Elastic scattering and diffraction dissociation Measurement at the LHC) experiment, located interaction point 5 of LHC, has measured total, elastic inelastic proton-proton crosssections, using a luminosity independent method, based on optical theorem, in center-of-mass energy range from 2.76 to 13 TeV. was investigated wide squared four-momentum transfer |t| allowing study Coulomb-nuclear interference region down | t ∼ 8 × 10 −4 GeV2. This made possible first measurement ρ parameter √s = TeV, being ratio between real imaginary part nuclear amplitude 0. measurement, combined with total crosssection results, led exclusion all models classified published by COMPETE Collaboration. results obtained are indeed compatible predictions colourless 3-gluon bound state exchange t-channel scattering, as postulated alternative theoretical both Regge-like framework modern QCD framework. result been confirmed, significance 5.4σ, also comparison pp data D0 collaboration Fermilab. In this contribution experiment will be described, along actual status, future physics program for LHC Run 3.

The Totem System

The Totem system supports fault-tolerant applications in which distributed processes cooperate to perform a commontask and in which replicated data must be updated consistently in the presence of asynchrony and faults. Reliable totally ordered delivery of messages to processes within process groups is provided on a single local-area network or over multiple local-area networks interconnected by...

The Totem Redundant Ring Protocol

Group communication protocols greatly simplify the design of fault-tolerant distributed systems. Most of those protocols focus on node redundancy rather than on network redundancy. The Totem Redundant Ring Protocol allows the use of multiple redundant local-area networks. The partial or total failure of a network remains transparent to the application processes. The distributed system remains o...

Totem: Domain-Specific Reconfigurable Logic

FPGAs have an important role to play in System-on-a-Chip (SoC) designs by providing programmable hardware resources within complex ASIC designs. However, because the FPGA logic is custom-fabricated with the overall SoC, we have an opportunity to optimize that logic to the SoC’s specific needs. This gave rise to the Totem Project, which automates the creation of domain-specific reconfigurable lo...

The Totem protocol development environment

We describe the protocol development environment for the Totem protocol, a fault-tolerant communication protocol that provides fast reliable ordered message delivery and membership services. The protocol development environment is a distributed discrete-event simulator that provides a testbed for the controlled testing and debugging of the Totem protocol. Unlike many other protocol simulation e...

TOTEM: A TOolbox for Traffic Engineering Methods

In this document, we propose a demonstration of TOTEM, a TOolbox for Traffic Engineering Methods. This toolbox integrates a series of tools for intra-domain and inter-domain traffic engineering of IP and MPLS networks. It provides an open source software that allows an operator to test methods coming from the academic research. A researcher can also use the toolbox to compare and promote new TE...
